We’re now up to 75 videos on the site, continuing the trend of gaining about nine videos a day. The total number of votes is now at just more than 23,100 from 5,600 users, and yesterday we got about 1,500 unique visits. The top referrers were MSNBC, the Politico, AllMyFaves, the New York Times, organic Google search, the NYTimes Editorial Board blog, and Conservative Grapevine.
Some of the newer videos approach issues like justifications for the war in Iraq, the use of medical marijuana, embracing science, and even the threat of computerized cashiers replacing human cashiers(!). YouTube user kameny’s question about warrantless wiretapping continues to have the most net votes, with 1924 as of late this afternoon.
Last night co-creator David Colarusso wrote at length about the changes we’ve made to the site, and reflects on criticism we’ve heard about displaying the top videos on the front page and how to keep the site from becoming a popularity contest.

We continue to be linked to and discussed. New mentions include:
Videoblogger James Kotecki, who now produces videos for the Politico, approves of 10Questions (and was involved with its precursor, Community Counts), and offers some good constructive criticism.

David All, a techPresident contributor and new media consultant, linked to the New York Times’ Editorial Board post and encourages his Republican readers to participate. He also promises to post a questions himself… we can’t wait!

A blog called “Appropriate Infrastructure Development Group” made techpresident their “Link of the Day” earlier this week, comparing it to two examples of “participatory democracy” in the United Kingdom.
