7. McCain Girls: You’re Welcome
Remember the McCain Girls? Something’s ticked the head Girl off, and she responds with fire: “It’s a video, you watch it, you enjoy it, you move the hell on. You don’t sit there and rant and rave about it. Especially since no one gives a crap about a half, or an eighth of what the f—k you have to say.” Oh my, she’s so talking to me. More than 30,000 views on YouTube.
6. David Letterman and Senator John McCain
“He looks like the guy who goes into town for turpentine,” Dave Letterman says. But McCain strikes back: “You look like a guy caught smuggling reptiles in his pants.” About 93,000 views on YouTube.
5. NC Ask Me
Hillary pays lip service to the kind of conversation voters have been wanting to have with her. Her new North Carolina-focused “NC Ask Me” effort still asks voters to send questions in via forms, which she will answer as she pleases. If that’s a conversation, it’s a frustrating one. About 15,000 views on YouTube.
4. John McCain Ad: Ready
Maybe the cheapest political TV ad ever created: just take Hillary Clinton’s footage, record new narration, and voila! An attack ad on an attack ad. About 92,000 views on YouTube.
3. Helter Skelter X
In a year of strange videos from newly-minted libertarian Mike Gravel, this one takes the cake. As we view scenes of civil unrest from the ’60s, the Gravelanche sings — you guessed it — Helter Skelter. Why? We have no idea. It’s a hit though; there are almost 80,000 views on YouTube.
2. I’m F*cking Obama - Hillary Clinton feat. Sarah Silverman
In a reprise of last week’s Clinton-automaton video, Hugh Atkin sticks to the funny stuff. Almost 300,000 views on YouTube.
