Chris Dodd has become the second candidate, after John Edwards, to promise to respond to more voter-submitted video questions immediately after tonight’s CNN/YouTube debate. He’s also asking supporters to send in their questions for his post-debate response, and will be adding a few other nifty features to his site later today.
Like Edwards, Dodd will respond to higher-rated questions from Community Counts, which will feature a score box showing which candidates have responded to questions that rated highly on the site.
He’ll also be using Ustream.tv to live-stream his post-debate performance from the spin room, and later today will add two new features on his web site to track the amount of time allotted to each candidate and to the voter-generated questions.
The Dodd team is bringing back the Talk Clock, which tracks the amount of time each candidate is allowed to speak using wonderful Pez-dispenser-like bars that has shown that, predictably, the top-tier candidates get more time. They’re also producing a new chart that will show how much time was allotted to user-submitted questions versus questions from host Anderson Cooper.
So now Edwards and Dodd have pledged to continue the conversation beyond the debate. Who’s next?
[UDPDATE] The Dodd campaign just launched a new section of their site devoted to their post-debate strategy, and sent out a press release describing the site's features:
1.) The return of the ChrisDodd.com "Talk Clock"
2.) A live video "pre-game" show
3.) A special behind-the-scenes YouTube video, and my answers to some of the highest rated questions submitted by YouTube users.
4.) Live-streaming from the Spin Room as I take questions from the traditional media
5.) Live-streaming answers to your questions submitted throughout the debate
Dodd has also responded to the four most popular videos on Community Counts.
