CNN TV Pundit uses Twitter

Read CNN TV Pundit uses Twitter.

Also, I performed an in depth analysis of the voting records of Joseph Biden, John McCain, and Barack Obama over the last two years. I thought you might like to read it.

Yes we can, yes they can

AndyCarvin and sull:
It's Twitter, so anyone can join in. If you want to post a question to the candidates' representatives, you can use the #pdfdebate tag. I'm sure Ana will be looking at what bubbles up. And if one of the third-party candidates wants to chime in with their answers, they can do that too by using the #pdfbeta tag. Who's stopping them? Not us. Just use common sense, folks, and don't spam the participants.
Why No 3rd Party?

I am interested to know why this is not extended to Ralph Nader or other 3rd party candidates?

Great idea!

I love this idea. I think answers should be limited to 140 characters with no links and no follow-ups. Ha!

Ditto the hope that it'll lead to a candidate twebate.

Looking forward to it ...

love the idea. unclear as to whether liza mair will be actively working with mccain to craft answers together, or if mike nelson will be doing the same with obama.

Will Ana Marie actively solicit questions from Twitter users? Can we pose questions by including the @pdfdebate hashtag? It certainly would be easy enough to follow proposed questions via hashtags.org, summize.com, etc. That certainly would make it a lot more interesting, not to mention authentic to the Twitter experience.

And hopefully it will lead to a twitter debate between the candidates (or at least inspire them to use twitter more often and better).

BREAKING: PdF2008 Hosts Obama-McCain Twitter Debate

We're pleased to announce a first for the Internet Election of 2008: Starting tonight, a designated representative of both of the major presidential campaigns are going to participate in a free-wheeling debate on technology and government, moderated by Time magazine blogger Ana Marie Cox and channeled via Twitter.

The McCain campaign will be represented by Liz Mair, the online communications director of the Republican National Committee. The Obama campaign will be represented by Mike Nelson, a professor at Georgetown University who served in the Clinton White House under Vice President Gore on tech policy issues.

The debate is an initiative of Personal Democracy Forum and is being launched in tandem with next week's annual PdF conference, which is taking place Monday and Tuesday at Rose Hall in NYC.
